Psychology book club: new title

In the first post in this idea thread I suggested starting a Psychology book club to broaden your student’s horizons (see earlier post). Here’s another suggestion for a book to add to the reading list.

Daniel Tammet’s memoir “Born on a Blue Day” (published in 2007 by Hodder) is an insight into the unusual mind of the author. Daniel has Asperger’s Syndrome and Synaesthesia and as a result his take on the world is an interesting one. A great book for challenging students perceptions about Autistic Spectrum disorders and opening their eyes to the different ways in which people experience the world around them.
